UPPCL OTS SCHEME
The UP Power Corporation Limited Bil implemented this scheme in three phases for 54 days from November 8 to 31st December.
Energy Minister AK Sharma on Saturday announced the launch of a one-time settlement scheme ( OTS), for power consumers in Uttar Pradesh to clear their arrears without having to pay the surcharge on the principal amount.

One Time Settlement Yojana in Uttar Pradesh
- As per the main benefit of this scheme, there is no need to pay any surcharge up to 100% will be waived off on the payment of our dues by domestic agriculture commercial industrial, and private Institutions on paying the principal amount.
- The electricity consumers can complete their payments on one go or in installments.
- The consumer charged with the chapter of electricity would also get a rebate on payment of summon/ compounding charges levied on them as a penalty.
UPPCL OTS Scheme surcharge details:
- Under the one-time settlement scheme, hundreds and surcharges will be waived off for the consumer up to 1 kw loads in the first and second phases.
- In the third phase, a surcharge will be waived by 80%.
- The payment of the dues in eligible for a 90% surcharge waiver in the first and second phases.
- In the second phase 70% surcharge waiver.
UP OTS scheme eligibility criteria:
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state.
- Candidate must have pending electricity bills like agriculture, domestic, and other connections.
- This scheme will be implemented in three phases.
- Eligible consumers under the scheme are LMV 1 domestic, LMV 2 commercial, LMV 4b private institutions, LMV 5, private tubewell, and LMV 6 consumers.
