उत्तर प्रदेश गवर्नमेंट जल्द ही 52000 आंगनवाड़ी वर्कर की भर्ती करने जा रही है. बाल विकास पुष्टाहार विभाग में सीधी भर्ती के लिए शासन को प्रस्ताव भेजा गया है. यूपी आंगनवाड़ी भर्ती के लिए आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकत्रियों की भर्ती नई शैक्षणिक योग्यता के आधार पर की जाएगी जिसमें कि हाल ही में बदलाव किया गया था. यूपी में आंगनवाड़ी वर्कर के लगभग 1 लाख 89 हजार पद बनाए गए जबकि सेवानिवृत्ति तथा अन्य कारणों के चलते 2012 से 52000 रिक्त पद जोकि भरे जाएंगे.
